How cheeky a little man can be

They say smile and show the world your stronger then yesterday you I do that but I know it’s not real.
My oldest son has been throw so much compared most other children of his age it’s hard to look at him and think of all my darling boy has been throw.
When my cheeky little man was in scbu all wires tubes attached to tiny prem baby that you think is so helpless but not as much as he looked.
It seemed like every time he woke up and no one was talking to him my little man would rub his feet together untill the wires there would disconnect. You would have all these people running over moving my wheelchair out the way. To find this little man stretching one eye open looking around as if to say what you looking at. It was very hard as not only did I have to deal with a very sick little boy born via emergency csection but had to tell his dad daily what was going on how he was what was happening.
The doctors and nurses midwife took real good care of him but he did pull little tricks on them.
Like knocking the heat pad of which meant his temp dropped.
Or as tube feeding him he would grab the tube and pinch it as he didn’t like not being held while feeding him.
When day finely came to take him home I stayed night before in there flats as they call them which is a room with skin tv two beds.
He was put in cot the ones they have when on the normal wards as new born.
I sat up the whole night watching this little man scared that something was going to happen to him.
In morning I waited did not get him in his going home outfit till the moment when the doctor came in huge smile on his face. I held my breath thinking please don’t say he can’t come home when he said the words I had been wanting to hear “miss leach I think little Kierren-Jack is ready to go home just needs to be kept close eye on by health visitor”. I burst out crying not because I was sad or scared but I had waited for this day forever. I put his little blue vest ,romper suit on blue cardie hat blue socks and booties and blanket over top on lovely July day.
I was shaking as I put him in his car seat to scared to do it Incase I hurt him. As we got to the main door I put his carseat down took a photo of him and sent the photo to so many people to let world know my brave boy was coming home.
I got home and wanted to yell to the world my amazing baby was home he was home and doing good. But it was not long before things changed again.
